COMPANY OVERVIEW
Sales Tax Advisory Services (SAS)
ABOUT US :
Today, with the development of the extent of regulations imposed nationally and internationally, constant rising deregulated markets and economies are in flux around the globe. Clients’ loyalty is fading, demands are increasing, and it’s getting more difficult to govern an already competitive market with a growing diversity of business models. With such unpredictability, a company’s capability to adapt to the current changes is one measure of success. Another indicator of success is preserving a competitive edge over rivals by providing services and goods at a reasonable price. Perhaps most crucially, it comes from adhering to the company’s mission and vision of offering appropriate and exact advice and solutions to clients.
SAS VISION & VALUES:
SAS has the ability to resolve and mediate customer issues, the agility to adapt to varous legal systems across the globe, and uses technology to keep things simple and straight forward. SAS is perfectly positioned to help customers increase their bottom lines with the help of our vast network, which is made up of complete tax and distribution capabilities and automated logistics management systems. Every day, SAS family members work hard to put in a lot of effort to win the business.
Opportunities are unfolding both domestically and abroad with economic expansion. SAS is well-prepared to tackle any challenge in the pursuit of excellence in delivering services to our clients and robust improvement in the value of investments thanks to the organization’s strategies supported by great execution. On this note of optimism, I’d like to thank you for placing trust in the SAS.
COMPANY HISTORY
OUR ROOTS :
The Secretary of the Central Board of Revenue was assigned certain responsibilities to research and propose amendments to the Sales Tax Act of 1990. It was followed by the formation of a Sales Tax Committee. The research required several meetings, one of which was solicited by me with the Secretary and Head of the Com- mittee as participants. Possessing 6 years of theoretical and practical knowledge of the Value Added Tax regime in Germany, I became a silent advisor for the Committee and provided practical solutions to problems incurred in the enforcement of such a regime. Through relentless handwork and effort, the amendments to the Sales Tax Act of 1990 were made and enforced in July 1996. Thereafter, due to possessing abundant knowledge and under- standing of the said Act, it marked the origin of the company’s Sales Tax Advisory Service (S.A.S). Since the company’s inception, SAS has been assigned, approached, and asked to conduct seminars and work- shops in urban cities including Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, and others with the collaboration of the Central Board of Revenue. SAS had also been provided the privilege to collaborate with the Additional Collector to clarify and notify the taxpayers and tax practitioners about the 1990 Sales Tax Act’s recent amendments. SAS delivered its services to C.B.R in 1998, as it was appointed to publish an Urdu translation of the said Act for ease and a better understanding of taxpayers. Thereafter, SAS, with the assistance of Mr. Sabuktigin Saba (Form- er Commissioner of CBR), translated 9 books, including a separate publication for exports, imports, wholesalers, and retailers. Furthermore, the translation of the Sales Tax Act 1990 has been followed by 6 different volumes.
